NORDIC PUBLIC TRANSPORT DESIGN AWARD

The winner will to be presented at InformNorden in Reykjavik on 17 November 2022.

With this award we want to celebrate and recognize customer-oriented design and innovation within the public transport system across our Nordic cities. The purpose is to submit and share great examples where design adds value, availability, effect and customer satisfaction.

Submissions can be made in two categories:

Digital service and wayfinding

This category is for digital submissions showcasing digital/analogue applications, services and solutions that provide commuters an easier, more convenient and accurate commute.

Accessibility

This category is for submissions with great examples of how we make public transport more accessible for everyone. This includes analogue, digital and other types of accessible initiatives.

How to submit?

Submissions must not be older than 2 years

Each PTA can submit one submission per category

Submissions should be digital. Don’t forget to submit photos and/or films to showcase and strengthen your submission.

And also – prepare a 3-minute presentation to be made in public, at the plenary session Inform Norden, 17 November 2022!

The submission must explain:

• Category
  • In which category the nomination is submitted
• Design & functionality
  • Give an overall explanation about this submission
  • Describe what problems you have solved for the users
• Customer value
  • How it has affected the commuters/customers
  • What kind of value will be/has been created
• Innovation
  • What the innovation is
  • In what perspectives it is a new way of thinking or solving a problem
• Effect & result
  • What the effect or result has been
• Cost effectiveness
  • The level of investment
  • Describe how the investment cut costs on a long-term basis

Evaluation

A jury of representatives from each PTA will evaluate from the following criteria:

• Design & functionality (1-5)
• Customer value (1-5)
• Innovation (1-5)
• Effect & result (1-5)
• Cost effectiveness (1-5)

Prizes

All participants will receive diplomas.

The winner in each category will receive the special PT Design Award

Best Presentation will be specially acknowledged
